What is Photo Tour?

Photo tour another form of "Learning Holiday" where the emphasis is on travel photography. These trips are not designed for relaxing on the beach drinking umbrella cocktails and taking a few snapshots at Golden Hour. We have a lot of fun, but it comes through action, comradery, and the ongoing excitement of the next shoot.

Who should attend photo tours?

You! Most of our tours are intended for amateur and serious photography enthusiats. And travel enthusiasts who are not photographers are also welcome to join our tours.

Are there any age restriction? What is the fitness levels required for the photo tour?

There is no age restrictions. People of any age group and who are fit and can manage everyday life independently can join. Any participants having any medical history are advised to seek medical advice before enrolling in the package.

What can I expect from Naturescapes photo tours and workshops?

In a nutshell, you can expect to take your photography to the next level in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

You can expect great food, hotels and seamless logistics.

Expect long photography filled days that usually begin before sunrise, with more impact and rare image making opportunities than you’ve likely ever had.

Expect a blend of people and landscapes, historical landmarks, markets, villages, indigenous tribes, culture in action, free shooting and arranged photo sessions with locals.

Expect a rich, rewarding, and unforgettable all around photographic journey in the hands of leaders who sincerely care that you become a better photographer, and have a great time in the process.

Any prior experience in photography required?

No! Our tours are for amateurs and photography enthusiasts, no prior experience is required. You may carry any DSLR or Mirrorless or even point and shoot cameras. Our tour leaders, photographers will be there to assist you at every level.

What is the typical group size?

Our tours are for small to medium size groups to provide individual attention. Usual tours are minimum of 5 and maximum of 15.

How many group leaders will be on each tour?

This depends on the destination and number of participants. Generally, for a group of 10, there will be one leader and a tour coordinator.

We often put our cameras away and spend time chatting about good times during the tours and chalking out new trip plans.

The complete list of inclusions and exclusions can be found on each tour page. Rest assured we don’t engage in any sleight of hand on our photo tours, and deliver on everything we promise and more.

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR MY PHOTO TOUR?

1. Go to the main menu under “Photo Tours” and click on the “Tour Registration” link. Filling out the form only takes a few minutes. You will have to upload your ID & address proofs (either . PDF or . JPEG format).

2. You can make 10% of the payment at the time of booking and click the “Submit” button after completing the form.

3. Your reservation is not guaranteed until minimum deposit (10% of the tour fee) is received. You will receive a personal confirmation email from us soon thereafter, normally within 24 hours.

WHEN IS MY FINAL PAYMENT DUE?

For most of the small group photo tours, final balances are due 45 days prior to tour start date.

If booking within 30 days of tour start date, the full amount is due at time of booking. But please go ahead and make your depsoit to secure your spot first. You will receive final balance payment information.

For private photo tours, final balance is due 60 days prior to tour start date.

For private, one day photo tours final balance is due 10 days prior to tour start date.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE FULL DETAILS ON MY PHOTO TOUR?

All participants will receive their tour trip notes 21 days prior to tour start date. These will include detailed itineraries, equipment suggestions, packing suggestions, clothing advice, electrical outlet types, tips on photography travel in your chosen destination, tips on tipping, and much more!

Please note that all participants will receive complete information on traveling for photography in your chosen destination, approximately 21 days prior to tour start date.

Responsible Tourism And Travel Policy

Covid-19 has had deep impact on the way we lead our everyday lives. Staying safe is of utmost importance. And even more so when we are traveling. We have put together some of the guidelines to help us stay safe during the tours.


Preparation For The Tour

  • Hard copy of the COVID negative report (not earlier than 72 hours of arrival) / Final vaccination report is mandatory for every participant.
  • Every participant (even after vaccinated) must maintain social distancing, wear mask and wash hands / sanitize properly.
  • Monitor your health during the tour.
  • Your luggage might be sanitized whenever you are checking in to the place of stay. It is recommended to carry hard luggage (if possible).
  • Vehicles used for traveling will be sanitized every day and the drivers, guides follow the same safety standards as guests.
  • ​We encourage keeping the safety and welfare of our participants and surroundings foremost before any photography opportunity.
  • Our aim is to be responsible, eco-friendly and a fair - company.
  • ​​Each of our tours requires a minimum number of participants before we can operate them. We value our guests and would not cancel the tour even if we have only one participant.
  • ​​Our tours and workshops are for small to medium size groups to provide individual attention. Usual tours are a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 15.
  • Smoking and alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited during the tour.
  • ​​Wherever possible, we stay in responsibly run eco-friendly lodges.
  • ​On most of our tours, we encourage local involvement and intend to hire and use their services (local guides, drivers, or transport providers, etc).
  • We treat our service providers as equals, socially and give them fair charges.
  • ​For wildlife safaris, we restrict the number of participants to 4 per safari (its original capacity is 6 excluding driver and guide).
  • ​Wildlife safaris will be operated by the respective forest department. Please read the Do's and Don't s before entering the forest.
  • Some national parks charge additional camera charges which carry high-end DSLR and video cameras.
